When my teacher gave us the choice between college, writing or education to write about, I wasn't sure which one I should do. All three topics are topics that aren't exactly in my interest, or I'm just starting out with them. After some thought, I have decided I'm going to write about education.
Education is a big deal in my family. Everyone graduates high school, and goes off to college. My dad always told me without an education you wouldn't get anywhere in life. He is right. A lot of jobs today, won't look at you unless you have got your high school diploma and farther education. It may suck, but it does pay off in the end.
My boyfriend went to high school, graduated, went to college, and dropped out. That was the biggest mistake of his life. He now works in a factory, making okay money, but not that much. To be honest, I dont know how he lives off of it.
I dont want to be like that. I want to have money, and also be able to save, because you never know when the economy is going to go completely down, and prices on things will go up. That is a huge reason why I am in college today.
Its also been my life dream to become a nurse, and I want to show everyone that I can do it. I want to make my parents proud. I want to have a good life, and if I ever have kids, I want to be able to support them and give them the best life possible, all because I went on and got further education.
Education is hard work, but in the end its worth it! :)
I agree with you when you say that you want to show everyone that you can do it. I think the same way. I am living on my own to prove to everyone I can do it. :)
